Prayer needs...

Seems as though when troubles come, they often come in waves. I have more prayer needs today:

Karla, a wife and mother to two small girls. Her husband beat her so badly she was in a coma for 5 days and he was put in jail.  He has sworn to kill her and take the girls once he's out. On top of all that, she is looking at losing her home.


Karla is the granddaughter of my Mom's friend, Essie.


Essie's twin sister Bessie lives in Kentucky and has had a massive heart attack. These sisters look so much alike, I can't tell them apart and they are so very close.  Essie has said that if she could, she would bring her to MI to take care of her. But with advancing age, that is not an option.

Finally, a couple that goes to my Mother-in-law's church was involved in a car accident yesterday. They are both in their early 80's. His name is Grover and was kept in the hospital; the wife is Wanda and they let her go home. The man who hit them left the scene of the accident.

Prayer needs

It's been a long while since I've written anything. But today I'm asking that you please pray for these needs:

Linda, whose 2 year old granddaughter died during the Christmas holidays. Linda is a Christian.

Anne: She's a lady about my Mom's age (82) and her three sons: Michael, Donald & David - all three have health issues and Anne is losing her sight to Macular Degeneration.

Anne's sister Mary: Mary lives in Ohio and her youngest son was killed New Year's Eve in a car accident.

Would you please pray with me for these needs?

#1. Craig, an Elder in our church, has pneumonia in both lungs and his kidneys aren't functioning as they should. He has been put on a ventilator and transferred to a larger hospital downtown.

#2. Mary, a lifelong friend of my Mom's ... was hospitalized this week suffering from delusions.

My cousin David and his son Jason. Jason has severe lupus and has been hospitalized for the past two months, getting home yesterday. He's a young man, unable to work due to health issues.

Prayer Need - Melanie

Please pray for a young woman named Melanie. She's about 38 yrs old and has just been diagnosed with MS. She's in school to become a nurse and would greatly like to finish her training and find employment. She is married but they don't have health insurance. They also have one son.

Thank you so much for praying for this woman. She is a Christian.

Prayer Need

Please say a prayer for my Aunt Sheila. She's having trouble with a rash that is quite painful and can't get in to see a doctor until the end of this month.

A few weeks ago I asked you to pray for our friend Louie. His wife called me last night to tell me Louie died last Wednesday. I was shocked that he was gone so quickly and that she hadn't called to tell us about his death sooner. She said he wanted a private family-only service with cremation to be done afterwards. She honored his wishes and told no one but immediate family that he had died.

She seems to be doing okay but is concerned about being able to stay in their home as it's not paid for. She also must continue working to keep insurance for herself.
